ANDREA L. HARTMy current obsessions:
Andrea L. Hart is a writer, director and performer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a writer/director, her productions have been listed as one of the “10 Most Memorable Moments in Art and Entertainment for 2008” by the Marin Independent Journal and garnered a “Best New Theater Company” award from the East Bay Express for Ragged Wing Ensemble. As a playwright she has received a Puffin Foundation West grant, a Theater Bay Area CA$H Grant, a PlayLabs reading at the Great Plains Theatre Conference and was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Conference and the Bay Area Playwrights Festival. She has worked at CounterPulse in San Francisco on her continued collaboration with the UK duo, ActionHero, examining American nostalgia and celebrity. Most recently she completed production on the short-film version of her play, “dark is a different beast” and closed a devised production, “Unrest,” with Ochlos Theatre Lab.
