BRIAN THORSTENSON
BRIAN THORSTENSON's plays include: The Horses (Alter Theater) Over the Mountain (Brava Center for Women in the Arts) Embassy, and Shadow Crossing (Central Works) and Summerland (Alter Theater, Wings Theatre Co., NYC). He collaborated on two dance theater pieces, Tuesday and Sugarfoot Stomp, with Stephen Pelton Dance Theater and Whether to Weather with EmSpace Dance, directed by Erin Mei-Ling Stuart. Recent works includes Fugue with Detour Dance and Dearly Gathered created with Rowena Richie, Christy Funsch and Chris Black. His poetry has been published in Foglifter, New American Writing, Fourteen Hills and Lamda Literary Review. Brian is an alumni of the Resident Playwright Program of the Playwrights Foundation and was a founding member of The Z Collective. He is a lecturer in Playwriting and Devised Theater at Santa Clara University.
